Born in October 1946, Max Méreaux obtained a first prize in piano at the age of 12. He studied organ and harmony, then violin and singing. After his baccalaureate, he studied musical analysis at the CNSMD of Paris in the class of Jacques Castérède.
He is particularly interested in the "active methods" of musical initiation and writes numerous articles in the magazine "L'Éducation Musicale". For seven years he worked with Dr. Léon Bence on research into the therapeutic powers of music.
Teacher, researcher, pedagogical advisor, Max Méreaux regularly enriches an already large catalog of works with new productions. He is the author of numerous educational pieces, chamber music and orchestral pieces.
