Vytautas MISKINIS was born on June 5, 1954 in Vilnius, Lithuania. He started singing in the "Azuoliukas" choir at the age of seven and became its artistic director at the age of 25. For many years he has been leading the Kaunas State Choir and the Vocal Ensemble Museum Musicum, winning prestigious prizes in numerous national and international competitions. He is the artistic director and leader of the "All-Lithuanian Choir Festival", professor of choral conducting at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and president of the Lithuanian Choral Union.
Today he is a well-known composer and has composed and recorded more than 700 pieces, both religious and secular. His choral compositions have been published in Lithuania, France, Germany, Slovenia, Italy, Spain, Japan and the United States.
